I bought a BMW 530xi for myself that had some minor right front damage. It was being repaired by a bmw dealer before it was sold to me. All i have left to do is basically reassemble everything. But 3 parts of the wiring harness in that area were snipped off. Thanks to this forum i found that 2 of them are for the horn but i have 1 more that i cannot figure out. It branches out of the harness right under the abs unit. The color of the wires are brown and brown w/ white stripe. It's not the headlight, fog light, both horns, airbag sensor, and that suspension rotary pot thing. After this wire branches out the rest of the wiring goes to a coolant temp sensor the the electric fan. I tried to use the website for the wiring diagrams but it seems i have to identify the component first. From what i understand as well is that the right side does not have a brake pad sensor. Any help or input would be greatly appreciated.

not familiar with the 530 layout, but could that be the wire for the outside temperature sensor which is usually mounted between the bumper and radiator, usually on the bottom side.

Just looked and on my car the sensor is more on the left side.

I also checked the wire diagrams to see if it's prewired for the parking distance control sensors and it's not. Let me know if you have any suggestions so i can check because i have no idea right now.

Could it be for the "Brake Air Flap"??? I know the ducting goes there. The wire diagram for that doesn't seem to match

Actually nothing is plugged into the coolant leveling sensor but i can't verify the wire colors since nothing shows for it in the wire diagram
