Hello to all,
I have decide to put window tint, since I don't have rear shade.
In Virginia, law requires 35% in rear and 45% on front side.
For my previous car, I had to 50% all around, since shop didn't have 45%. I tried to have 35% all around, but shop told me, someone got a ticket right after the installation and he had to redo his tint to 50%.
and question is should I put 35% in rear and 50% in front? or go with all 50% all around? Somehow, using different % would make car look bad.
Need you guys opinion, can not decide
Thanks in advance,

Use 50% on your front and back doors.... 35% on the rear windshield.
It will look fine.

I had 5% on my rear window, and 20% on the sides on my old Acura. It looked great.
Just don't use different tint shades on front doors vs. back doors. That looks retarded.

I have the 50 on the doors and 40 on the rear window. I agree, get the same for both the front and rear doors, but you can go darker on the rear window without too much trouble. I don't think I'd do 50 on the doors and go with the 5 or 10 on the rear window, that might be too much of a difference.

I'm thinking of tinting my car too.. but i'm kinda tight with my budget now. Can anyone recommend me a good tint that is unexpensive that may last about 3 yrs (selling my car after that). Thanks in advance

Hello,
Please advice if using metallic tint will cause interfference with GPS,SAT,GSM,AM-FM signals on our E60. I am considering non metal tint materials (ie. Huper Optik or V-Kool).
TIA!

The tint film goes on the inside of the window, and does not block radio signals. Metallic is fine.
If you still want non-metallic, then Huper Optik tint is the ONLY non-metallic tint you should consider. All other types of non-metallic are garbage, and will fade over time.
