If i tint it will be something like 50%. I just need a little tiny little bit of tint. But i find 35% too dark still.

rumor has it that it makes police officers nervous during a traffic stop.

You're right about this -- if you do get the tint, lowering all your windows before the officer walks up puts them at ease and in a better mood, thus increasing your chances off getting a warning or cited for a lesser infraction. And they may let you keep your tint if they don't notice it!

I would go with sunglasses, just to keep your car's selling value more liquid, if you ever want to sell, the potential buyer may think it looks cheap, . . . even if you don't.

I have 35% all around, except the front windshield.? I used Madico Charcool tint which also has a lifetime warranty.? The tint shop put a specific type of Madico non-metallized tint on my car cause I have Navigation.

It's funny that my brother, who also owns a MB, also thinks tint will cheapen my car.? I'm happy with it.? Here's a pic:

Perhaps most MB owners feel the same about the "cheap" thing with tinting. I guess most MB owners have garaged parkings, so they don't mind the sun.

Thanks everyone. I'm going to do some research with the information you provided, including the sunglasses thing. I wear eye glasses and the only thing available are those "clip ons." It's OK if I look like an old fart.

I've never looked into tinting and have often wondered what it costs. What have you paid for a full tint? Thanks.

$180 for my tint work, 20% on all 3 sides.

I had 32% on my front windshield, but that windshield got the infamous BMW crack, so I had to replace it. Have not bothered calling the dude up to tint the new windshield yet.

Check the pics in my signature to see the tint. VVVVVVVVV

$250 for mine. All around, not including front windshield. I originally had 20% all around but saw that it was too dark against my black-on-black car so I took it back the next day to have them redo it with 35%. They could have charged me $100 to remove the tint and another $250 to retint but the owner was cool, just charged me $200.

So I guess I actually paid $450 for mine....

I just got 35% all around and 20% on the sunroof at Extreme Tint in Santa Clara (that so many have recommended)... $280. Looks great.

That's where I got mine done. Glad you like the results. I think mikej is up next. They're probably wondering where all these E60 owners are coming from...

Yeah, when I came in yesterday he said that he had two E60s the day before... one a heavily modified 530.
