Need advice on lowering with or without new shocks

Many guys on the M5Board have even swapped out there H&R's for Eibach's, and I've never once heard a complaint from an Eibach owner.How are the roads in Kansas? That factor might make a difference in your choice. I do agree with AW that the KW v2 seem to be a favorite of many here and on the M5Board.

Well I already have the H&R Sport Springs that I bought from Joe...he recommended them based on my wants.
I am just trying to decide if I need to get shocks also and if so what kind? I know my ride will change but if I can minimize the change without forking out 2k for coilovers that would be ideal. Maybe coilovers later but as you know I have spent a crap load of money lately..LOL.
So if you have any suggestions on springs...KONI FSD, KONI YELLOW etc. please let me know?
And Kansas roads arent too bad..not a lot of potholes here!

I would go with the Koni shocks if you plan not to go coilovers at all. To let you know, its better to do it right first by going with coilovers then to waste money and spend more later. I have gone this route before and its better to fork out the money in the beginning so you don't waste more later

My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.
I was going for the cheap way, only changing the springs to Eibah ones.
But now when I have read this forum and others + spoken to a few specialists the answer is very clear;
The best option (and only to me) is OEM springs AND shocks!
M or Sport.
The BMW engineers do plan and design the entirety.
Saving money in this field is (once again) the wrong way.
Do it right the first time and you will save money and be satisfied.
But now when I have read this forum and others + spoken to a few specialists the answer is very clear;

I personally think that the H&R springs alone will not be good if you have rough roads. I have a lot of bounce at times, but in normal highway driving, there is not much of an issue.
I think that you can all be right here. If you think that you will see rough roads, don't go with springs alone. If you are going for the looks, and you have nice roads, the springs will work just fine.
Here is an idea. Why not go with springs first (alone). Add the additional modifications if you think you need them. I know that it is easier to do everything at once, but why stress over the situation if you do not need to.
