Why can't you use the entire screen?? If not, can you bring the NAV map on the smaller screen?? Looks really nice, and I agree with the location, however, I think I'll put mine in the glove compartment, its never used for anything.? Nice ride...? How the TV reception.

Sorry guys, unforunately you can't use anything in the screen to the right. Once the output is set to DVD the entire I-Drive screen is switched to that ouput. Plus I personally wouldn't want anything on the right side of the screen because it takes the full effect out of watching a DVD. BUT, if you are using the navigation, you can still hear the nav lady speak. The way that works is the DVD player sound is hooked up to a FM frequency (for example: 89.1) so when the DVD player is on, the frequency shuts off to outside waves and only allows DVD sound to flow through: hence giving it nice clean sound.

As for the TV reception, don't ask . You'll be lucky to pick up any signal from local channels. I didn't really care to get the TV funtionality but its there for my piece of mind

You have a remote control that you use to switch modes. The picture is displayed on this forum.

No, because its a plug and play unit. You do not need to hard wire anything into the car's mechanisms

I thought you had to remove the LCD screen and splice wires in the back in order to install this.

No. All the wires are hooked up to a 'Module' behind the I-Drive screen that they put in. So there is no cutting the wires.

Audio is hooked up through a FM Modulator and not through an Aux input. IMHO, it sounds great even through an FM Modulator. But, I don't know how they physically hooked it up.

I still cannot believe that the screen would work for DVD. Unbelievable!

3 questions: 1) How is the picture quality?
2) When you turn the car on, is the default still the IDrive Start-up screen or the DVD Screen?
3) How long did the installation take?

Enjoy, but be careful when you drive and watch!
