My RPI Install
#1
Got my RPI exhaust installed on Saturday. It looks and sounds great. Here are some before and after pics. BTW, if you haven't looked under your car at your stock exhaust, the mufflers are HUGE! As I look at the setup I can see where some more gains can be made (at one point the pipes are flattened out on the bottom).
Also, I should note that we were uncomfortable with how short the final hanger was so they tack welded a washer on the end of the final hanger to make sure it didn't work itself out of the hanger. If you are in Northern California and need work done you can't go wrong with FDMotorsports. If you own a Porsche they have lots of toys for you.
Anyway, here are some pics for your enjoyment.
Someone needs to make an insert to fix the drag caused by the gaping hole left by the stock exhaust. Any DIYers want to come up with a plan?
Note the washer welded on.
The tips are flush here, but after operating the car the mounts ended up settling a bit further back.

Filter is in. Scoop is in the trunk still. Have to pull one of the kidneys for that and didn't have time this weekend.

As far as the wife goes, why don't you roll C's Bimmer style and tell her that you installed pulleys?? It seemed to work for him.

I can't complain. She doesn't understand the car thing at all, but I don't understand her need to collect little ceramic birds so we're even.

Oh, and the best part is that my 6 year old son thinks we own a race car now. He is grabbing everyone we know and dragging them over to the car and asking me to do that loud thing with the car. It's a tad embarassing, but I am happy that he is excited about the car.
