Call me foolish, cal me stupid, maybe im both lol. It seams it`s possible to retrofit the AC high to E60`s with AC basic, just snagged a high control panel of Ebay.
Need to order some parts from BMW and awaiting advice from Bavaria access on pin assignments.

All functions work accept the dual temp control so this should be very interesting.

Due to money I wont be doing this until later this month.

Just printed out the pin assignments from the WDS, looks fairly straight forward, might even put the solar sensor in.

I'm interested in this, can you tell me what the differences are between basic & high. (do you think it will be possible to get dual temp working?)

Ok, here goes :-

Condensation sensing (condensation sensor behind rain light sensor on front screen)
Solar light sensing ( sensor centre of dashboard)
Dual temp control
Auto air recycle (AUC sensor top of fan cowl down wind of incoming air)
Front screen quick clear
Variable vent speed and temp control (9 air flaps instead of 6)
Max temp cooling

Dual temp control wont work due to there being two heat sensors on the heat exchanger.

AC high control panel of ebay £90
Solar sensor £35 from BMW
Condensation sensor not needed
AUC sensor only needed for auto air recycle
Sundry parts like new connector and cable parts another £20
