Thats what I was thinking... They look like replicas.

And at the end of his post he said they are replicas at $1600... YIKES!!!! for like $1300 you can buy real OEMs. No?
Not with tires, my friend... Anyway,I think they look great.

Monacobmw, I'm guessing you have a 2007 with the sensors in the wheels for the FTM? I understand you can get them separately so you might want to look into that if you're having tire warnings.

You didn't read his post carefully. He paid $1600 for the replicas and tires.

As for getting OEM 166s for $1300, that would be wishful thinking. Your only chance is if a M5 owner decided to do a firesale to get the $1300 price.

Well conclusion is: It looks much better than the one's you had before , but it was just my opinion...
I just more like the deep fish look, since my 135's don't have the concaving neither (X-drive models).
So that is why i like the real 166's that much

The replica wheels are actually only $850 at Lake Shore Tire. The tires were $750 installed and balanced (19" tires are expensive). They also have smaller sizes for less money.

For $850, it is not bad at all. Compared to the "mixer" blade look of the original OEM, I am very happy.

Problems with Vibration:

The initial drive feedback with the new wheels is that I am having problems with vibration at 35-40 mph. It feels like the car is shifting front to back with vibration. It is fairly noticeable. The vibration goes away once I hit 60mph.

The tires were balanced (I have the computer printouts from the Hunter machine). Could this be caused by new tires that are not worn in?

I am theorizing that I may need to lower the car with Ebach springs. Could this be the issue or does anyone think that something else is going on?

Otherwise, there is a noticeable feel and sensitivity to the road with the new wheels. The handling, however, is much different. I went from driving a "boat" with the 17" wheels to driving a sensitive sports vehicle.
