Was browsing thru some thread and noticed the fog lights on this car are white - instead of stock yellow.
I like it a lot. Was it custom installed?

The bulbs still may have been changed to whiter ones. There's a ton of stuff on this forum dealing with switching fog light bulbs to whiter ones.

Do a search using the term "PIAA" and you'll likely find a bunch of information...

I don't believe you get new fog light bulbs with the M Tech kit, just new fog light housing...I forgot. Even if you do get new bulbs, they are the same as the factory's so they are not whiter than stock. I believe the car in the picture belongs to Das or Lomag and I'm not sure if the bulbs were switched out for something whiter or it was just the picture.

A lot of people switch out the stock fog light bulbs to PIAA 4150K or 4700K bulbs to get the whiter shade. You can also convert them to real HIDs.

Here's a good example of custom vs. OEM fog lights on my E60:

Left Fog Housing: Prolumen HID fog bulb and Right Fog Housing: OEM BMW fog bulb

Hi Kuat,

HID stands for 'high-intensity discharge' or commonly called xenon headlights because of the xenon gas used in the lamps. I think PIAA is just a brand (?) somone please correct me if I am wrong The brand of HID fogs bulbs on my E60 is from ProLumen.

Best regards.
