My Ride: Current - 330 Sport Topaz Blue, Grey Leather, HK HIFI...lost interest!! Waiting for - 535d Sport, Silver Grey, Foldy Mirrors, 172 19",Logic7,Pro Radio,Through load,Heated Front Seats,High Gloss shadowline,Black Maple,Headlight wash,Sun Protection Glass.

Been looking at the Ipod MP3 interface threads, I suspect that as I can play MP3's at the minute via the single CD slot in the Pro Radio that I should be good to go with the interface. However as i didnt bother with the 6 slot CD that the head unit will need to be programmed to see a device which is plugged into the "CD ready" harness I have in the glovebox.

Im currently on CIP 20.00 and am concerned that the programming might loose me my beloved DMS remap, what do you guys think?

You only lose the DMS remap if there is some software for the DME chip included in the CIP disc. But I allways thought that the DMS tuners will redo the remap if it is erased by BMW.

Hi mate as Iceman said do not be concerned, you will loose your remap that is also a SW, so you "reinstall the OP". Talk with DMS they should redo it for free too. Its same here.

How do you check which CIP version your car is currently runnung?

My Ride: 535d Sport, carbon black, media pack, visibility pack, grey leather, heated seats, sun protection glass, voice control, Eibach ProKit, 19" 166 style wheels, e-maps ECU remap to 325hp and 640NM, top speed limiter removed

You can't, unless you know when your last update was and which version has been actual at that point in time.
