my 545 looks like there 2 mufflers on one side, ok to replace one new

My Ride: 05 545i Sportpackage, Mtech Body Kit
I looked under my muffler on my 545, looks like there is 2 mufflers attached to each other. Can I replace it with one (rpi, magnaflow, cherry,)(for sound) whatever without affecting the performance. I don't know much about the tech stuff. Please help

Well, RPI is the way to go, but it will affect performance. The RPI exhaust will give you more power and a way better sound (not to mention being waaaay lighter than the stock exhaust) PM Nerweezy to find out more

I'm not talking a full exhaust kit as I can't afford it...I mean just swapping out the muffler....but it looks like the stock one has two interconnected side by side...

^^ That is correct. If all you want to do is change the sound ont he cheap just replace that whole muffler assembly with a magnaflow and call it a day. I think the magnaflow mufflers go for around $150-$200
