Which unit do you have.

I've been looking around and you can get some for less than 200 and some are around 400. Main difference being Linux Vs android and also amount of RAM.

I purchased the Top Spec version because I didn't want to deal with freezing. It's been a year and hasn't had an issue yet.

Does it allow you to still use the CCC system as well? Such as for radio, PDC and checking service messages

All you're doing is changing the CID not the iDrive. You switch between OE and android by holding down menu button. Everything works as normal you just add the android interface

I had an Android unit (8.8" Avin unit) when I had M-ASK. It worked fine but the OEM menus were stretched out to fill the larger display (not like I ever used them though since I'm on CarPlay 100% of the time). I later upgraded to CIC and I have the Mr12Volt system and it's fantastic. Great audio quality, I like using the OEM screen, everything about it is great. I imagine it would work just fine with M-ASK and would go for it.

How much did the CIC conversion cost?

The CIC conversion would cost what the seller you choose sellers it for. You can find the kit for $400 (someone just trying to get rid of it) or you can find it for $800. It all depends on where and who you buy it from. Search on eBay maybe can piece it together and get a better deal. I'm assuming you'll need someone to code it so that is another expense also
