09 528. Bought the car used back in march. I am 2nd owner. Upon delivery car read 20.7 mpgs. Removed the charcoal filter, (thanks to threads on this site) and replaced the stock air filter with k&n. Mpgs have increased to 24.2.

Thats why I made my own sealed pipe into the airbox passage......theres no way for a scoop to create pressure if the air has the opportunity to come back out, where as the pipe forces the air in and cant come back out!

2010 535 M-sport, lead foot driver with K&N drop in filter = 20-23 mpg 93 octane. Pre K&N = 18-21 mpg

My Ride: 2008 535i LCI with sports/premium package, Sports trans with paddle shifters, CF emblems, JB4 Software, Dinan Exhaust, Navigation, M5Tech body kit, Carbon wrap interrior trim and CIC Controller.

I have a 535 with a JB4 tune and get a constant 24-25 running around. Most of my driving is highway. When on trips it goes up to 27-28. I'm not heavy footed, but I would say I drive normal. Can't complain at all about mileage.
