MP3 - enabling E61

My Ride: BMW E61 530D Sport Touring Auto Sat Nav Dension Gateway Parrot CK3100
Today I had a Dension Gateway 500 and Parrot CK3100 - deep joy as I can now make phone calls and the other person can hear me.
The car's software was refreshed in the summer of '07 when the I-Drive system crashed.
However with the Dension installed the I-Drive screen shows a DVD, CD, CD1, CD2, CD3, CD4, CD5 & CD6 icon. The only one I can access is the CD icon.
Dension tell me I need to have a 'MP3 retrofit'. When I phoned Sytner they told me that I had invalidated the warranty and could not help.
Does anyone know of a service option to have the car MP3 enabled?

Hi Andy!
I can't help you (sorry!), but.. can you write some lines/a little review in the 'E60 discussion' forum about this device (dension etc.) ?
If I well understood, this should be a good alternative for who doesn't have the USB port .

Well my car has come back from Scotthalls who new what MP3 retrofit meant.
However it took 2 trips as they ran out of time so could not start the process.
However after the first trip the BMW Bluetooth phone system worked and all the CD Drives CD & CD1-6. (These stopped when the Dension Gateway 500 and Parrot CK3100 were installed).
Today the car comes back and none of the above works - except the CD Drive!
The CD Drive plays the MP3 tracks that I have burn't but does not display any text (title, artist or properties).
Should I just buy a car that has a proper aerial (Mini) then I could listen a radio and would not need an Ipod?
Any ideas appreciated.
