I saw a 3 series in town today that had "BMW E90" euro plate in the rear and the NYS plate in the window. I want to buy a plate and add BMW E60. How hard is it to mount the rear euro plate bracket? Is it true I have to drill holes or does it screw in where the US plate holder does?

Anyone got any other neat ideas for what text I should put? How about "E60 N52"?

I can't speak for the product displayed in the weblink - but Euro license plate holders have multiple slots that can line up with the stock holes on the trunk. I had no problems mounting euro plates when I lived in Germany.

IMO, putting a fake euro plate on the back of your car is GHET-TO. Not to mention all the extra attention you are going to get. But it's your car - so do what you like.
