Car looks great N! I thought you had the Sport Package on your E60... Any thoughts on losing the chrome trim and going with shadowline?

thanks C. yeah i never had sport package. i actually am fine with the chrome window trim because it matches with the kidney grills, my chrome plate holder, and light colored wheels. but it has crossed my mind about going shadowline.... but that would mean black out the plate holder and kidney grills, then make me want darker colored wheels

those of you guys getting the scoops should get a before after dyno from eloy. plenty of dynos on M5board.com showing gains from scoops. it would be interesting to see how much the non M's are gaining.

heres one for everyone. i have the dinan intake which takes in air on both sides and feeds into the one filter box. would i be able to add scoops on both sides like the M since its already pulling from both sides?
thanks!

interesting mod - well done. So does the scoop attach directly to the air filter box, how does it look ?

EDIT: just realised I can't install this due to the radiator flaps behind the grills

im not sure about that one. maybe you could check with eloy at race precision. he could take a look and decide if he'll do something different for a custom job for you. just a suggestion.

eloy said he wants a non-M that has a manual tranny to dyno. i posted a thread about that somewhere. for mine i just relied on my dyno butt and some before and after runs

thanks andy. the scoop is screwed on at the opening of the inlet on the driver's side. i think you would be able to install it. member r1racer has been looking into one for his 545. but on his 545, he doesnt have the net-looking cover over the inlet like i do.
