My Ride: 04 545i sport, stick, L7, sat, nav. Charcoal/ runflat/ cdv delete. And a single post in the FAQ section that clearly defines the Gateway 500 for everyone. I tried to help out with a few posts on this issue but new threads are started on it every day. Way too much speculation for the average E60 owner to get any solid facts out of the random posts.

One question that might be useful to members is a detailed explanation from someone very knowledgeable in the business (such as Eloy) of how exactly an ECU remap can produce more power. Not many members who I have met have an ECU remap, especially members who don't have M5s.

You guys are missing the part where you're supposed to not only post the questions but post the ANSWERS as well!

The potential problem I see is how do we know the answer's right? Who's responsible to validate the info?

Starting this thread, I should have specified more that I can only really answer questions about go fast goodies. Im sure Trinity or Eurorev can pitch in here about the wheels and body kit stuff.

The sprint booster alters the throttle signal so you have a more "responsive" throttle...or less lag. Although it doesnt actually make power, it does make your car "feel" faster with the more sensitive throttle response.

I think the answers would be personal knowledge which all the forum members have gained and agreed too throughout modding their cars...

Validation:
Members please state the facts and not the fairy tales, make sure that you have evidence to back your mods up (i.e pictures, not necessarily of doing the mods but of the finished item once the mod is complete)

My suggestion would be to pick a Mod/admin to track manage the section.
If you have random people there will be no consistency in the question and answers , and no one to filter the crap Q&A out.

I would be more then happy to do it, but most of my knowledge is limited to the N54's and N52's ,I 'm the first to admit I don't know jack about the v-8's or M's or euro D's.

The chasie stuff other than M's is not that hard, non sport, sport , Xi , XiT, and Sport on both.
Wheels , off set, hub centric, size, tire size, Xi and Xit size and off set

I would not put up testimonials , but just the general info and the contact info. No Yeah or neigh , this is better than this.
