I got aftermarket carbon ones and I ended up smelling other car's exhausts. I ordered the BMW ones online for about $37/ea and no more smell. they weigh almost 2x what the aftermarket ones weigh and have a much better foam seal around the borders.
you get what you pay for.

Wow.. I don't want to smell exhausts from other cars I'm willing to pay premium as long as I don't smell it. How will i know if I'm getting original OEM microfilters? Is there a part number or I'm sure they change brand of filters all the time right?

i got mine from pelican parts. They come from an OE supplier and come with instructions. I purchased the cabin filter, air filter, spark plugs, genuine BMW oil, oil filer, and ate brake for $205. Took me a few hours to install everything but i'm sure i saved at least $700 from what a stealer would charge for major service.
