wow..didn't know AA does the TS as well.

but they don't seem to have any specific kits for the e60 as yet though.with 410bhp from the TS kit,i don't think any steptronic cars can take the onslaught.a 300-350bhp kit will be just nice.

here in Malaysia,cars with engines bigger than 2litres are taxed to the high heavens..thus u won't find many 540i/545i/M5 here.instead,we rely on forced induction and stroker kits for those who are power hungry.i'm also planning a TS upgrade for my 525i..all in due time.it ain't cheap as u can see.

 

Don't waste time and money with exhaust, remap etc., because the I6 is too weak to have good performance, even if modded .

im on a ASA Tm12 running 8psi.. car runs well, 320 bhp, 400nm torque.
but hunger for more power.
Would go for a Tm15 with 14.5 psi , but the gearbox cant take it.

Unless i ship my transmission to Levelten....but thats gonna cost a bomb.

By the time your done it would have been better to sell and upgrade.

 

I had this same quandary with my E39 525i. Loved the car but wanted more performance.

Non turbo BMW motors are pretty much maximized straight from the factory. There is software, exhaust, pulleys, throttle bodies etc. but quality parts are not cheap. I have used Dinan stuff in the past and been very satisfied but it is expensive for relatively modest gains.

Superchargers will make a big difference but it would cost more to supercharge the car than to just trade the car for a V8. Plus a owning a custom modified supercharged car has its own issues.

If you love the car and have the Mod bug but not much experience with modifying cars I would go with Dinan. The local rep should be able to give you advice on the order of mods.
