I saw these Magnaflow exhausts for sale and wondered if anyone had fitted them, they are made in USA, I was wondering about the noise in particular, I don't want too loud a noise just a nice throaty tone

I wouldn't let the made in USA thing bother you. For a full cat-back exhaust, it's really hard to beat the value. For about the same price or a little more, other brands will just give you the muffler/exhaust portion.
It may not be italian or german made, but I believe magnaflow has been in business much longer than the others.

My Ride: '05 545i - scheduled for ED pickup in Munich on 7/22!
When I go the magnaflow.com website, it doesn't list any exhausts for the E60. Are you looking at their generic universal muffler?

Hmm, I thought magaflow made an all in one catback exhaust for the e60.
I know they make one for the e46 M3, as I have been researching exhausts, but I also thought they made one for the e60.
