Dave,
As for the tips, they are Sebring. You can get them for about $75/ea online. Got some pics of your setup?

I don't have a link. I ended up buying the tips from the exhaust shop. No problems with clearance.

Those look real close to what I have. The rolled lip looks a little different as well as the seam where the tipe reduces. Those look pretty good and a good deal and for a pair! I'd do it!

I don't have any pics however the y pipe does not go under the battery box. All the piping goes between the battery box and spare tire recession. Also, the y-pipe I have was custom built so unfortunately I don't have any references. Your exhaust shop shouldn't have any troubles with this, its a close fit but not that close.

Never seen the bypass valve for exhaust before, seems like a great idea.

I have the Magnaflow set they sell for the 550i and I love it. It sounds great, no drone, and even my wife said she loves it compared to my M3 which had Rogue Diablo with Valvetronic (she hated when it was open) so
did everyone on the street

Most people build a custom one on here.

Attached is a pic of the tips and system...its the only one I had of the exhaust, I never took a close up, because I am converting to quad tip, dual exhaust, also doing different tips in matte black.
