M6 Wheel Replicas Forged?????
1. OEM M167 = forged
2. Weight
3. Polish quality / durability
4. Material strenght
and very frustratingly
5. Price
and most significantly
6. CONCAVITY - THE LOOK
I'm sure others can add to the list as I've most likely missed some other differences

The concavity is not different on my Miro M167 Reps... as you can see in my sig pics. The weight yeah your right.. they are def heavier. But if you have a good pair made my a decent manufacturer like Miro.. then you can't really tell just by looking at them.
Good point about the concavity.....worth knowing...thanks. Just thinking now whether the Miro rep offset is also same as OEM.
That sounds very good if they are indeed forged replicas. I understood most replicas (especially M167s) were all made in China and definately not forged. Maybe this place you contacted is importing them directly from Germany from the manufacturer who provides them to BMW as OEM. I highly doubt BMW make their own M167s. I've never come across anyone selling M167 'replicas' which are meant to be exactly the same as the real ones from a BMW dealer. Price on the website is $400....not sure why they want $485. The offset and all the other details listed on their site for these wheels does appear to be the same as the OEM specifications. I notice they've also got the correct offset difference on the M5 and M6 for the rears. The question is - why is he calling them replicas when they sound OEM without the BMW stamp ? I wouldn't call them OEM but then I wouldn't also call them replicas ! I've been looking for M167s but can't afford to buy them from the dealer. And the usual M167 replicas often seen for sale are quite different from the real ones in many ways.
Anyone used this retailer before ? Any information about these wheels would be helpful. Thanks

The forged "replicas" he offered me on the phone were $85.00 more and were brand new.
If the used OEM are in a good condition then that sounds like a decent price for OEM. You are right about issues like cracking that are more common in replicas than to OEM. I wonder they have some pics to show detail on their used OEM.
