No rubbing with the 17mm offset. I have 17mm offset 166s with the 275 stock Contis on my 08 550i sport and there's no rubbing. Check it:

Are you on stock sport suspension?
How much space is between the tires and fender at the front and rear?

I have ordered M6 167 with 17mm offset (rear 9,5")) and 12mm offset (front 8,5"). The problem?? is that I ordered 245/40/19 front and 275/35/19 rear instead of the original 35 and 30 profile. This was to get a better "fill" of the wheel well without lowering the car. Also this would get me some more comfort hopefully due to the slightly higher profile. Lastly these profiles was also cheaper than the lower profiles standard tires.
My car is a standard original M-tech sport suspension.

Have a done something stupido?!?! Will I get rubbing issues with these tires? No one have commented on this profile before as far as I can see.

I have the OEM 167's and I have the 35 profile on the front and 30 on the back, plus mine is a bit lower on Eibach prokit springs and koni sport shocks. The rears are fine even with a full car but I have had problems on the front when turning sharp corners. I have now flattened the arches and they are better but still touch occasionaly. I think you may touch as mtech suspension is about as low as the eibachs.
