It is indeed possible to lower the xi models. H&R has special springs just for the xi. cmansbimmer is the only member here who I know that has lowered the xi model. Hopefully, he'll see this and chime in but for a faster response I'd suggest you PM him. GL.

you are able to lower the xi models. H&R makes springs for the all wheel drives. i believe cmansbimmer and ku530 have done this mod. it really gets rid of that gap on the xi models and gives the car an even better look.

thanks,
but sorry, who's H&R???

Ok guys, thanks.
One step at the time. I'm not an expert. I just want to have a good looking car
What are special springs? What PM means?
I assume H&R is an online shop

http://www.hrsprings.com/

H&R is a german manufacturing brand. they make springs, coilovers, spacers, goodies for cars. many members have used H&R sport springs to lower their e60s. vt himself had H&R sport springs, then recently switched out for H&R race springs, which gave him a more aggressive drop. you'll see on the forums that many have contemplated over the brands of H&R and eibach to satisfy the desire of lowering their cars. the only thing is that H&R is the only company that makes lowering springs for the xi models.

pm refers to sending a private message to another member on e60.net. you could do that by going to that member's profile and clicking "send message" found in the top left side under the profile picture. as for H&R products, you could order products yourself or go to a local shop that will order and install it for you. hope this helps.

Go ahead and order the 124 wheels with the "xi" offset number. The numbers should be in the high 30s for the front and low 40s for the rear. If these numbers are in the 20s then it's the wrong 124 wheels. If you want to see what 124 wheels look like they were standard wheels for the 2007 550i Sport. The only difference is that your 535xi will be sitting higher than the 2007 550i Sport.

Are you familiar whit this?

is that what you meant?

Yes thats what he ment... the wheels for the non Xi are ET:20 and ET:32 so the link that you posted are the correct wheels for the xi model.

I believe that Dannydriver is running the exact 167 wheels with 17mm offsets. PM him if he has/had any rubbing problems.
correct.

i have 17mm offsets in the rear, and had some rubbing issues because of my lowered car... got my rear fenders rolled and everything is fine

i am running with 275/30 19 in the rear

Cu
