Talk about an old thread being revived!
Why not start up K's old FS thread for his TF also

what happens if you get a problem with the auto open button on the fob?
normally you would use the key, but this conversion hides that, can it be accessed from inside or manually elsewhere?
You mean if you run out of battery? You can tap some power in the trunk with the + and - leads.

If you are trying to access the trunk, there are many ways (if you have power), hold the button on your alarm (opposite of your unlock button), or you can press the trunk release button in the car, or you can unlock all the doors and open the trunk that way.

And if you battery runs out and you can't open your doors, use the key to unlock the door manually then open the Hood and tap into the power there.

no i ment if your remote key fob stops working...how do you get the boot open (trunk or whatever you call it )
as the boot key lock is covered with the finisher, it does not matter if the car has power as there is not a "power opener" inside the car (at least not on euro spec cars) its all done with the key remote fob, or by manually opening the boot with the key

where is your "trunk release button" in the car? i dont have such a thing (or not found it )

Want an even bigger problem with this : Say you you are installing some mods and have disconnected the battery and then without thinking slammed the boot lid shut. Then what?

can we add a boot popper to our uk cars?
could this be my next retro fit
i already have the boot finisher from cooks ferry, but have only now thought about problems.....
im worried because i sometimes have problems with my remote key not working

I don't know if your cars in EU are pre wired for the switch or not, but here's the switch part number.
