So picked up an M5 shifter knob from my dealer recently and Fred's legendary shifter cable kit and installed it this evening. Took 15min to install.
Looks sweet, Calton was right to nag me all this time

As you know I bought the SMG M5 shifter today, (SEE PIC BELOW), It is tiny compared to our stock steptronic e60 boots, but how did you get to use your stock steptronic boot on the SMG M5 shifter knob?

I haven't heard from Fred (tried to PM him). I would like to buy the shifter kit. Anyone have instructions on how to make or buy it if I don't hear from him? I would prefer to buy it.
