My Ride: 2007 525i (not LCI) - Alpine white, M sport package, Comfort seats, Logic 7, Bluetooth, Xenon adaptive headlights, PDC, sunroof, A/C with extended features, etc.
nice one andy...i always loved the m5 shift knob...
I was actually planning to install one but a member pointed out that there was some risk involved. Since the M5 knob doesn't have the safety trigger like the regular automatic shift, what happens if suppose by accident, the shift gets pushed up all the way to P from D while the car is still on the move? Anyone?

There's no risk. While driving it's only possible to shift to D/S or N, just like before. In order to go into R or P you need to have the brakes on while under 3km/h, just like before. No prob, go ahead with the mod.
