Whats funny about this thread I started is if BMW didn't muck up on this paddle design, we would be talking about something else. Why they would make the m5 one way and our sport models another is beyond thinking. At least mercedes didn't do that.

Please clarify:
I've sport joystick and sport button installed, steerinf wheel with paddles, but no reaction on paddles in any mode of joystick. Which codding I need to make paddles work? As far as Isaw in the SAT retrofit thread only Pre-Lci models were retrofitted, but in that case it is done by wiring. In Lci no wiring possible. So codding needed.
I do not understand something... Explain please.
By the way my car is Jun 2007 production.

Please read the SAT retrofit thread - maybe start around the 15th page or so. The SAT retrofit is ONLY for LCI models and depending on your build date you may have to run a couple of wires between the SZL and the car's ebox for the paddle signal to communicate with the rest of the car (I did with a 3/07 build, but remember that the SAT option became available from the factory only from 6/07 onward). To make everything work, you need to change your VO (vehicle order) to tell the car it has the option and reprogram the car's various modules.
yes, i found it on page 10. We'll check the wiring. Tell the results after that.
Thks.
