Picture comes from keang24's link above, which in turn links the install page.

OK, thanks! But I'm afraid to fit it I should change a lot of parts from M5 (and just the M5 oil cooler is ?500).
Tomorrow I will have my Mini with the oil cooler and if results will be good I will think to that connection (80 eur or so), plus a cooler.
But the problem will be finding a guide on how to install that part # -214: with that installed, you will have in and out for any cooler you want.

Yeah, ?500 is just way too much to pay for something like that. I'm sure there are a lot of less expensive choices that will give you the same level of cooling.
Have you taken your front bumper off and poked around yet?

Have you considered useing an oil cooler from another model and just fabricating mounts? I got an oil cooler from an old 3 series for $15 at the junkyard to mount to my VW.

There are a lot of cheap radiators on eBay, but before I have to check if GULF AREA CARS has a radiator or not... Why that connection does exist if BMW doesn't supply a radiator as well?
I will check if BMW has an OEM solution and if not I will go with that connection + ebay radiator + custom pipes.
I have to call a dealer in the gulf area to find out, since members from there don't help.
Just let me test the Mini from tomorrow for next weeks and I will decide how to move for the 5.

Did you ever manage to get the oil cooler to work?
No, just on the Mini and it is really COOL (-10? C in the city, -20? C on highway) .
ANYONE FROM GULF AREA WHO CAN CALL HIS DEALER OR CHECK HIS E60 V8 ?!?!?!
That part costs 80-90 EUR, but if they supply that part they have to have a cooler too.
This forum is going downhill: just stupid leds, horrible bumpers or rims etc.

If the forum is going downhill, dont visit anymore, nobody else is complaning. People here have become friends, we chat, show our new toys and other things like that. no need to be like that.
