Take a look at this thread. You'll see the bumper with the regular fenders.

I'm pretty sure those fenders behind the link are standard fenders with a grille hole. That's because the blinker hole locates in the same place as in every standard e60 fender. The blinkers locate lower in the OEM M5 fender.

I installed OEM M5 fenders in my ex car and I wrote a DIY and it's here on the forums. I was able to get it sit almost right with the mtech bumper, but later I bought the OEM M5 bumper to get it 100% right.

And yes you will need new M5 inner liners as well.

Thanks for the response. I did find your thread a couple of days ago. It was very helpful. What about the fitment on a aftermarket M5 bumper? Do you think I'll have a fitment problems?

Well it depends if the bumper has been made exactly like OEM M5 bumper or not. Maybe the seller or manufacturer can give an answer to this.

I believe most aftermarket M5 bumpers are made to fit the non-M5 fenders.

If that is the case I would not have to buy inner liners at a cost of 100.00 each. This would be a great deal.

Default M5 Clone Fender

Ok folks, Here is some pic's sent by the vendor on the new M5 clone fenders selling on Ebay. They're 399.00 for both fenders and no need to change the 5 series inner liner. I noticed a little off fitment at junction to the bumper. I would roll the fender all the way towards the front as possible by adjusting the fender bolts.Probably it would align properly with better alignment of both the bumper and fender. The picture on the Ebay item itself looks with proper fitment. Any opinion?

pretty sure the fitment on those fenders are spot on as they are probably oem fenders that were fitted with replica 10 dollar vents. The reason why there appears to be a fitment issue is probably because that's an aftermarket m5tech front end.

Dam devildwg your car looks bitching with those gold looking rims, I see your point with regards to m5tech bumper. The concern that I have is that the fender doesn't hug or fit the light assembly properly. If you notice how the 5 series fender hugs the light fixture correctly on the pic's below. Again on the other hand the pic on the advertisement of the Ebay item looks perfect. Would you buy it?

I'm stuck btw a rock and a hard place by being halfway committed by already purchasing the OEM Alpine White OEM right fender. I wonder if I can get by with M5 fenders with the stock inner liners?

Thanks and no.

Im sure it's just the headlight that needs to be adjusted in that picture and would fit properly afterwards. GL.

Why not? just pulled the trigger on the passenger M5 OEM fender, inner liner and OEM vent grille. I'm short one left inner liner. Soon Moby will have new wings.

David,

It looks good. A little off fitment where it joins the bumper. It could be the bumper is not aligned correctly.

Joe

Yes that might be it or the angle the picture is taken. Please let us know if you or your forum members are interested in getting some. We do offer group discount if more than 10 sets are ordered at once. So we hope we can do some business in the near future.

Thank you

David
