M5 Fenders on non-m5 E60. Help

Need some help up in here. Does a 2008 M5 fender fit on a 2009 528ix?

Yes, but you have to be aware that the fenders may not have a "perfect" fit so the shop will have to be prepared for that. Otherwise shouldn't be a problem. Remember, though, that the front bumper (if replica) may have an issue lining up with it as well.

One down , one to go.

Thanks for the response. It was to tempting, especially with the Moby Dick Alpine White color.
I heard that I need to buy the M5 inside fender plastic cover to go with the fender. Is that right?

Tempting M5 fenders aftermarket solution.

Found this new E60 M5 fender listing on Ebay. Come to find out the $399.00 price is for both the R&L side fenders. Their metal and according to the technical dept. the fitment is good. He said that they brought in a E60 for fitment and it was a go. If you compare to the M5 OEM fenders on Ebay the small light blinker appears to be a tad to close to the vent whole. It might be an photo illusion. What's is your take of these. Did we finally find the wholly grail on M5 fenders inexpensive aftermarket solution?

I thought you needed to have an oem M5 bumper to be wide enough to fit m5 fenders...

If you're doing that 1M combo deal.. is that an actualy M5 bumper? Or is it the m bumper made to fit on the non M5 e60s?

Or am I completely wrong? lol

I def heard this though in one of the forums..

You brought up a good point. The reason why the M5 fender will fit is because the 1M portion is an insert to the M5 bumper. That said their should be no fitment issues.

okay so this would mean you don't have a choice but to get the flared fenders then correct?
the bumper is awesome. If only money was no object lol

The M5 fenders are not necessary. But they surely look good. But its way cheaper to go AutoZone and lap on with 3M tape a $20.00 generic vents. lol

Alpine White Rules

BTW, I see that you have another Alpine White Moby Dick. Looking good. What rims are those? Do you have more pictures?

I'm in it to win it!

Now you opened a can of worms. I should have my installer do a fitment test before I commit to the second fender.
