My Ride: E60 530i 2005 model: Installed: Dinan tuning chip, M5 Body, 20" Hartge Type II Classic, MagnaFlow "X" type custom quad type outlet 4quad custom Oval tips with resonator, tinted 15%, AFE Air Filter, LCI taillights w/ Bruce cable, Cross Drilled Rotors, M5 type mirrors, M5 spoilers, Hartge trunk insignia (OEM)

I was researching this method for long time... but what i was afraid of was to what you just did, the edges are covered by the grill's plastic, and that looks "really fake" if compared to the M5 fender grill. You can see M5 feder grill has a body "rounded" edge then the grill inserts sits inside...

Well, but you did have some guts to cut them, congrats!!
