the white LED's for the center console definitely brings it all together...

It sure does. After changing the LEDs on the cluster, the contrast with the amber lighting in the rest of the car wasn't too appealing in my opinion. Time consuming but definately worth it.

545ier: oh wow, are the center console leds the same smd as the cluster ones? how many did you have to replace total?

I'm reluctant to say that your X5 cluster has the same LED's as an e60. If you want to give it a try PM me and we can set a day to take a look to see if it is possible!
