Hi,
I have never had 20" wheels before, will the ride be too rough??
Are 20" too high maintenance??
Are 19" better for performance and comfort?
Tirerack.com has 20" (20x8.5 Front and 20x9.5 Rear on a 2004 530i) with Recommended Tire Size:
255/30-20 Front
295/25-20 Rear
Will those be too wide?
Also, how do I avoid having the "LIFTED" look on my car?, I know the Eibach Pro-Kit Spring Set helps lower it, but, is there anything you would recommend?
Sorry for so many question, but I am a newbie and I would like to avoid mistakes.
I very much appreciate your help and advise, thanks

These must be replica 20" 166s that you're referring to correct? If not, OEM M166 only come in 19". Those tires are too big for a non-M car. 245/35/20 Fronts at the most. I'd do a 285 at most in the rear as well. As for the ride, it wont be that much of a big difference between 19-20s. You will feel the road slightly more with the 20's due to the lower profile of the tires.

im assuming then you dont have a sports package.. i think you need the Eibach kit.. otherwise youll look like a 4wheeler a tiny bit.. depending on where you live and the roads you dirve on can help determine if you should run with 20's or 19's.... i also think it depends on which wheel your looking to get..

Thanks for the advise, I live in Costa Rica and our roads are like a Russian Roulette game... I kid u know, sometimes the potholes are so bad u really think u wheels will break in two... so ur comment actually made me decide on the 19"s.thanks for the advise.
