There are 4 different kinds:
8,5 x 19 ET 12 m6 m5sedan
9x19 19 ET 17 m5 touring
9,5 x 19 Et 17 m6 m5 touring
9m5 x 19 Et 28 m5 sedan
And apparently it's the offset 17's that work best for non M5 E60 Saloons. But I think most of us usually just put on the standard M5 saloon ones (part numbers: 02 LIGHT ALLOY RIM 81/2JX19 ET:12 36117834625; 02 LIGHT ALLOY RIM 91/2JX19 ET:28 36117834626)
If anyone can confirm or provide any more detail on this I'd be grateful. The E61 M5 Touring is not listed on Realoem.com so could not check that part number.
Thanks.

I'm on the 166 with M6 offset. Gives the rear a slightly deeper look. The differences are as follows:
E60 M5
Front-Size 81/2JX19 ET:12-Wt=13,266-Pt no.36 11 7 834 625
Rear-Size 91/2JX19 ET:28-Wt=13,226-Pt no.36 11 7 834 626
E63 M6
Front Size 81/2JX19 ET:12-Wt=13,266-Pt no.36 11 7 834 625
Rear Size 91/2JX19 ET:17-Wt=13,266-Pt no.36 11 2 283 160
Can't help with the touring, sorry.

Btw Gudge, notice that you're already on 166, what up?
Not yet posted any pictures of my new car......looks a bit wimpish on the standard 135's.

And which offset on the rear, 28 or 17 is the most suitable for E60 Sedans, in terms of ride quality/ ride set up ?

My E61 has 9,5x19 et17. Best look, imho. Most people that bought with et28 put later spacers.
