I just got my hands on a set of perfect original 166m rims without tyres for UK?620 , and have just ordered these tyres from www.blackcircles.com

Falken GRB FK 452 245/35 R19 Y 2 ?138.30 ?276.60
Falken GRB FK 452 275/30 R19 Z 2 ?151.03 ?302.06
Subtotal: ?578.66
VAT: ?101.26
Total: ?679.92

so UK?1299 (about US$2470) gets me a set of as-new 166ms with new falkens, i consider falken a good brand, and will report back here on how i find them once theyre fitted, that price includes fitting/balancing etc.

I always have to give a shout to the General Exclaims which I have on my car. They are probably not the best, but they cost $550 for a set of 4 (19" staggered 245/275) on Tire Rack, and they are rated the highest on that site for their category by most consumers.

After buying Replica wheels for a leased car (that I would have for only 3 years) and having to abandon the old tires with only 200 miles on them, I needed to consider costs of the tires.

It's all about value for money! Sounds like a sensible choice to me!

For that kind of money, you can have fun with your car too, not having to worry about the cost of doing burnouts and drifting

price for performance, you've probably done the best out of any of us i'd warrant. Id like to hear a comparison from you if you ever get a chance to compare your own experience with a more expensive set

I never got to compare, but I can say that I am very sensitive to tire noise and these seem to do very well. They feel a lot nicer than the OEM (cheap) 17" Continentals that came with the car. Everyone on Tire Rack raves about the Generals (you can read the reviews on the site). I think that the 19" tires will react differently than the standard 15-17" tires that are generally reviewed, but I am impressed overall.

After I put on the lowering springs, which will create a rougher ride, and I get the tires rebalanced this weekend (I am putting on the new TMP sensors), I will be in great shape to report back. For value, these have to be some of the best tires that I have owned (I have generally looked for mid-priced quality tires in the past). Are they the absolute best, I am not sure???? I certainly would not question anyone here who really loved another brand, but the problem is that those other brands cost 2-3 times as much.

Best,
