Default M-Tech Fender Liner?

I've had my M-Tech installed for some time now and I just realized my front right wheel is rubbing against the fender liner. I boughtt he front bumper off of a forum member and we installed together. The rest of the kit was bought new from Gary Romani and professionally installed at a reputable body shop. I know the fender liner was not trimmed as specififed when we installed. I would prefer not to trim the liner.

Is there an M-Tech specific Fender liner that I can buy and install that does not require trimming?

It might be that the fender liner has now a curb somewhere, if it's not trimmed. As far as I know, there's no a specific inner fender liner for the mtech. I recommend you to trim the liner, because you can always buy the original untrimmed if needed.

Thank you for the reply! I only ask as I know some cars were leaving the factory with the M-Tech installed, and I am sure they would not waste time at the factory trimming the OEM Fender Liner. I remember seeing different part numbers on LCI Model E60's on realoem. But nothing listed for earlier E60's. Will a fender liner from an LCI fit a Pre-LCI?

I'm curious also, is there such a part or which section on the liner do I need to trim? I recently put on the Mtech front and 166 wheels with the recommended tire size for the Non-M E60. Every time I'm on the freeway and encounter a dip, the front would rub a bit.

According to RealOEM the part numbers are the same for pre-LCI and LCI cars.

- pre-LCI: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...70&hg=41&fg=10

- LCI: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...70&hg=41&fg=10

What you guys might want to do is remove the liner, heat up the area that is rubbing and push it out more. That should give you more clearance. A heat gun will work fine unless you want to bust out the propane torch.

+1 on the suggestion.... Be careful did this and held it to close, liner will definitely melt.
