Hi All

I have the usual paint/film peeling on the two edges of the steering wheel trim, has anyone got any ideas on how to completely remove this rubberised film without damaging the smooth black plastic trim underneath? I've tried scratching it off but reckon I'll be there for ages as it seems well stuck. Don't fancy buying a new piece of trim just for it to start peeling all over again after a year or so!

Hey there...

that trim piece is removable...I have just ordered a carbon fibre replacement, together with carbon fibre interior trim to replace wood trim...

Process for removing trim is here:

M Sport Steering Wheel Trim Replacement

Example of trim piece:

Trim piece can be found for about USD$150 online.

Carbon Fibre interior trim can be custom made using OEM moulds for about USD$2000
