Hi,

What are my options in lowering my car? I did not get the sport package and now I think the car looks too high.

What are my options?? other than taking the wheels out

Tirerack recommends using H&R Sport spring set, share your experiences please.

Option #1: Keep e60 stock, buy 1996 Honda Civic and lower it.

Option #2: See Option #1.

option #3: have your wife/gf, kids/pets, family members/friends, and of course yourself eat triple as what you normally eat and sit in the car the same time .

If you do a search for those springs you will see that there are a few people here who lowered the car a little bit. I now that H&R Springs were used.

Ask the dealer what it would cost to lower your car like the sport model. That way it will probably still be covered under the warranty.

Nothing wrong with lowering the car as your going to really long for those lowering springs after you get those BBS rims.

For the e60, H&R springs along with eibach are available. Last time I checked no shocks were available, but that was some time ago. If you really want to spend the money, coilovers would be an option.

Properly installed, springs from a reputable brand such as H& R have not issues..not even at the dealers...... unless they're trying to screw you outta your warranty.... i've personally never had problems with lowering my 3er......

I went with an H&R / Bilstein Combo..actually at the recommendation of my service rep at the time..... i've loved every minute of it......

I am also considering lowering the car by changing the spring WITHOUT replacing the shock absorbers. But which springs to use with the stock shock absorbers? How would I know that the springs will match the shock?

Many advise me to replace the whole set (shock+spring), which I thought maybe too early to do now.
