So to sum it up you have a current problem with Miro wheels and I hope everthing works out for you.
This thread is regarding a different company VMR, lets keep it on topic and hear more regarding VMR rim long term experiences.

He is correct though. Quality in the manufacturing process is not anywhere near the same for rep wheels.
Youtube has a video of how volk forged wheels are made and it is very impressive
you just cant get that at $1000 for a set of wheels

From my experience wheels are a mod that you really should be willing to pay for top quality or wait until you can.
Mike Miller (BMW CCA) had a small rant when answering a question a few months back in Roundel about non OEM wheels, vibration problems etc.
If you want after market wheels my rule of thumb is "are they at least OEM quality", if not, you not doing your car any favors...

Great feedback guys.
The VMR V710's look awesome but it seems that the quality is suspect and they cost $1000 roughly.
The HRE P40's are the real version with impeccable quality but they cost $5000 roughly.
I'm having a hard time justifying the price difference.
The sticker on my car was $65,000. It seems ridiculous to spend only 1K on wheels.
At the same time, its not a Ferrari.
Please keep posting and i'll keep pondering.
Who knows, maybe i'll go nuts, order the P40's, and just throw it on the
credit card and pay for it later. After all, isn't that the american way?

Or you can buy 5 sets of wheels for the same money and change your look every few years if you want. Chip your paint? Replace it. Still cheaper than the $5K set.
where the roads are not always so nice.
Strength and durability are very important.

I have VMR710's and no problems so far, but mine are only like 2ish months old. I had BBS LM reps before on my e46 and had those for a few years and they still look great. I'm not sure what company those were. But I'm hoping for the same quality in my VMRs

You cant have cheap and great quality, it doesnt work like that.
HRE P40's are worth every penny. So are almost all of the forged wheels out there. There is a huge reason why they are so much more
here take a look at volk and their process
