Hey guys.. I've printed out the hardwire Valentine One post, and it seems simple enough to do, but I have some misgivings with going into my car's electrical system and hooking the things up since my dealer has made it very clear that if anything goes wrong, it could void my warranty (and it's a new car).
So, I was wondering if anyone knows of a shop that installs such things that has a lot of experience with BMWs out in Long Island (New York).

You might want to try Best Tire. They do a lot of work for celebrities and deal with high end automobiles. A friend of mine had his s55 installed with a valentine one system there.

It is so easy to do, I really wouldn't worry about it. From an electrical perspective, all you're doing is taping into a switched power source and attaching a ground.

A high end car audio & accessories shop that iam hopefully going to do with business with in the near future does really top notch work, but there in Greenwich Ct, not in long island though. Trust me its worth the trip. They work on BMW's,Mercedes, Ferraris etc. So they know their stuff around end automoblies.http://www.autosoundnmore.com/

If money is no object, check out AIDesign (http://www.aidesign.com).
However, as Stream mentioned, it's really not a big deal as long as you follow basic electrical common sense. What you want to be sure of is that you don't cut a wire that is tied into the computer system.
That is why I personally recommend hard wiring V1, Lidatek, or other similar installs versus tapping into an existing circuit. When you run your own wires, you know what you're working with. It's just a cleaner route.

I did it myself in exactly 5 minutes, following step by step 'don-juan's' pictures and instructions and it works like a charm. no electrical mods / cutting or taping is needed.
