Default LM2 mod question

I have 2006 pre-LCI 525i and the previous owner swapped to the LCI hella headlight without changing the LMU.

Now I have a several issues
  1. Both low beams are on permanently on Auto. If I switched to on, only one low Beam is turned.
  2. I cant flash high beam. this function is only available when auto is on i.e. low beam is on.
  3. The adaptive motor of the headlight is always on with ignition. I can hear and feel the motor movement all the time regardless of headlight on/off

In addition, I read on BMWcoding that I cant buy a used LM2 and recode it but I have to buy a brand-new uncoded one and start from there. Anyone has experienced this?

Thanks

Used LM2 can work. Buying either New OR Used, it will have to be coded to the car's vin
