Just checked out my LEDs after a week of use. It does not appear that the resistors are getting too hot...there is no warping or indication that the plastic housing is melting, or anything of the sort.
mine seems fine too.. no problems here

Oh yeah .. the LED bulbs are way brighter then conventional bulbs.. When they tint the regular bulbs it makes it dimmer then the plan clear ones.

I'm a little confused about this process, are you saying that you need new bulbs besides the resisitors or just the resistors from Radio Shack. If new bulbs are required can you please tell me where I can get them and which ones.

Thank you for your help.

You will find your answer here ===> http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=28752. I did mine without the warning triangle.

I have done this mod. But after a few months one of the LEDs went faulty, it kept flashing on and off continuously. So now I have reverted back to the original filament bulbs.

Has anyone else had this problem.

The LEDs I brought were cheap and came from eBay and from China so I would imagine the quality of the LED bulbs is bad. Does anyone know where I can get higher quality LED bulbs?

I just want to check on people who installed this led bulbs, did you ever had any problems with regards to heat generated by resistor? Any triangle warning light came up since installation? I am interested in installing same to my car.

no problems so far, unless your not using the resistors that is recommended. personally, my car is weird somehow because my leds "strobe" for a couple seconds when i turn on the car, but it looks cool at night .

Found out that the strobe issue was only happened in Auto headlight mode. It did not happen in headlight off mode or parking light mode.

Anyone know which Festoon bulbs to get? There are 2 39mm bulbs. One has 3 lights and the other has 9 lights.
