license plate lights flickering

My Ride: No mods
i just installed the led license plate bulbs with resistors today 
and noticed that the plate lights were flickering when the keys was in second pos. in the ignition. Is it just my car or anyone else have the same problem?

From my experience with LED and resistors, its either because the LED is faulty or the resistors are not installed tightly enough, but I'm not sure about BMW and the license plate light mod, I have yet to do that this weekend.
