i know this is an old thread but i just did this today and am sooo happy with the results...
got the leds from superlumination.com and the resisters from radio shack.... took 10 mins to install and so worth it..

Ordered for my '08, installed and looked great. Fast forward two days and I now get error message intermittently. Anyone else with MY08 experience this? I realize the seller doesn't promote as error-free for '08s, but they also wouldn't respond to my questions and my impatience took over.

I had them in for about 2 weeks on my 08' with no issues... used 2x a day , no problems....
Are you sure you have them in the right way, I had to rotate both of them the first time I put them in.
