Speaking of Cali Troopers. I have my LCI tailights tinted dark black but I have not been messed with. I think it's because once the car is started the tails are on. So it's red pretty much all the time. Clear or Smoked when you drive its red. Even with the tint the LCI's shine thru bright.

you need the modified Bruce's cable to increase power input to the rod. Don't know if he's still making them anymore since there wasn't that much interest in it. Search for his thread on this cable...has lots of good info from other members

depending on how bright you want the "rods", you can get away with having to find bruce's cables for these replicas, a member modded the internals very slightly to increase output and get the rods to light up on braking too, which i think is considered the "ricky effect," take a look at decide for yourself.
