2005 BMW 545i SMG 99,850 miles. Purchased 11/2004.
Yesterday I received an iDrive notification that my left front parking light is malfunctioning. I have the active xenon headlights.
Visual inspection revealed that my angel eyes on the left side are out. My car is long out of warranty, and I am suspecting that a dealer fix for this would be a full light replacement and very $$$$.
Would this be a good time to consider an aftermarket angel eye upgrade?
I'm wondering if I could order something like the AngeliBright and do a far less expensive DIY fix?
Or do you think there might be something more wrong that an angel eye upgrade won't fix?
Looking for advise, guys. Thanks in advance.

Now the iDrive warning is gone, and the angel eyes are working.
I just had a software update done to the car a few days ago. Wonder if that has anything to do with this?

hopefully it's just a loose connection at the bulb. if you do need bulbs, you can get a set of LEDs for about $60. I have a set of brand new stock bulbs that I'll sell you for $20 if you want to go that route. New OEM bulbs are around $25 each IIRC.
I'll mention this too: remove the round access cover and inspect the wiring inside of the headlight housing....
