Can't you just use the LED off the E90 door handle and modify it to fit with the e60 door handles?

Its not about finding the right LED. That's simple. Its keeping the LED in a good place / secure that wont mess up the door handle.

I think i'll try to do one LED this weekend. Should be simple. If it works, i'll do the rest. And the way i'll wire it is, just connect to the door lighting, not the mirror puddle light. Should be ok.

why not connect it to the mirror lights that way when you unlock the car, the leds go on with the mirrror lights. i think that would be simple then creating a relay. but in any case just shooting you some ideas.. i know your the man for this job good luck buddy

See, there is a problem connecting to the mirror lights. I had that initially for my Angel eye mod. But that drew too much power / and ended up not lighting what I needed. Also pulling the power from the mirror and routing to the rear door is more of a hassel. Just pulling the power from the bottom door lights is probably the smartest / easiest bet.

We'll see what happens.

Possibly, but you can easily get some SMD LEDS and wire it up along with the interior door light. =) might be cheaper and easier alternative.

For a clean look, I'd just carry a keychain with LED flash light. Less hassle
