The LED lights are not available on the E60 but you can buy LED bullbs. Has anyone tried them and are they any good?

How do you think they will look on an E60?

I tried them on my previous car and the problem was they do not light up the entire lens. All you see is one small red dot. I do not think they are approved for street use.

Wait till 2007 when they're standard equipment. Remember the e39 lighting upgrades- Standard orange then clear then led. BMW have skipped orange in the uk so what comes after led?

I have never seen an E60 led light upgrade, they may do something in the independant BMW mags. I know they do angel eyes for the old old 3 series so they may! Good luck with it

Why do you think that BMW doesn't have LEDs on the 5, but has them on the 7 and 3?

The E90 has the red "light rod" look for the normal rear lights as in the previous E39 5 Series though. Agree that the break lights are not LEDs though apart front the usual Third High Level Break light which are LEDs for all cars.

Gothcha. I agree that the taillights (not brakelights) of the 2001 and newer E39s looked cool -- sort of an LED look to them.
