Hi All,
I'm buying a pair of LCI Xenons for an OEM retrofit to my pre LCI 09/2005 E60.
The guy is a scrappy, so I convinced him to chuck in the LCM with the headlights. As I would need a post 09/2006 LCM to get both front and rear LCI lights working.
Knowing there are different types of LCM, I asked him to provide me with the part no., which is 9153272.
However, when I put this no. into RealOEM. I get three different date ranges.
Near the top it has:
05 Light module 1 09/2006 09/2008 61359153272 ENDED
Whilst further down, it has:
05 Light module 1 03/2005 09/2006 61359153272 ENDED
And in other places it says:
05 Light module 1 03/2005 61359153272 ENDED
Whats up with this? Is it safe to assume I can recode this LCM due to the same date range as the first one or will I be stuck with the third one. He says it's from the same car but can't be 100% sure.
Please could you advise. Thanks.

Hi Bruce, thanks for the reply.
Yes, I have read that thread.
However, may I ask, why that specific LM2, as this LCM was from the same LCI car the LCI headlights came from, therefore shouldn't this be classed as a LCI LCM that will work with those headlights and LCI rear lights?
Reason being, I'm getting both the LCM and headlights at a good price at the same time, so I can finish off the lights, rather than wait around in hope the LM2 u mention is available for sale.
Thanks in advance.

If the LCM came from the same car as the LCI lights then you could try that. Besides, if the price is good you have little to loose.

So u could say ?400 for the lights and ?150 for the LCM.
Would u say thats a good price?

My Ride: 2006 520d - 19" 172s- Remapped - LCI taillights V6 cables - LCI xenon headlights - Denison 500 with BTA1500 - led interior lights - OEM led number plate lights
Planned mods:
Folding mirrors - Modmynav kit - High gloss shadowline trim -
That sounds like a very good price. I got my pre-LCI bi-xenon headlights for ?650 and another scrappy quoted me ?700.
How will be doing the retrofit? Will it involve cutting/splicing any of the headlight harness coming from the car?

Seeing that I've got the LCM with it, I'll go down the OEM route.
I had a quick look and they do a pre-LCI to LCI conversion wiring harness for ?50 or something.
I'm not sure if I need the two sensors the retrofit manual mentions. Thats the load sensor and height sensor I think.
Bruce?

I understand the harness also requires you to retrofit the tail lights?
I'll be interested in doing this as well (especially if you can done the OEM way) so please let me know how you get on.
Cheers
